Video tutorial on how to weave a heart shape motif on the Martha Stewart Loom

I have been designing for and experimenting with the Martha Stewart loom, and just love it.

One of the things that I have figured out how to do with the Martha Stewart Loom, is how to weave a heart shape motif on it.

It’s a little tricky, so I have made a video on how to do it.

I felted some of the woven hearts, and they are really neat…. the do get smaller as you felt them!

What can you do with a woven heart?

They can be used as placemats on their own, (especially if they have spool knitted cord stitched to the outside), or they can be stitched to bags, scarves, stoles, shawls, pillows, throws, wraps, afghans, blankets, jackets, vests, stitch 2 together as a toy….

Hearts are the symbol of love, so perhaps, you can just weave one for the love of it! đŸ˜€

    • Hi Sharon
In response to your question, I have made a video tutorial on how to stitch spool knitted cord to a finished edge (whether it’s woven, knitted, crocheted, etc). Here’s the link to the tutorial:

      Hope this helps! đŸ™‚

Those two hearts look as if they are holding hands. Wouldn’t this be a perfect anniversary or wedding present?

Thank you so much I had not thought about using the little hearts around the big heart that would be so cute thank you so much for the idea. She is having a rainbow colored wedding with her main color as red. I have been racking my brain to figure out how to include all the colors. Now I can make the big heart red and the little ones all the colors of the rainbow. So glad I found your site. Cannot wait to see more videos from you so far I have watched them all, looking forward to what you have in store for us next.
