But, this ~new~ love is serious ❤ loom love ❤ , like hashtagging #loomlove 😀 and ❤
Here she is: The tiny, wee loom that has been the center of my attention for months now: Thumbelina!
Thumbelina Loom happiness
Thumbelina is very small, but she does all manner of wonderful things.
She weaves darling little arch shapes that are about an inch and a half wide and 2 1/2 inches long:

Thumbelina works like a lucet and a flat knitter so that you can create delightful things like little Sheep:
Baaaaaaa!
Must weave ALL the sheep!
and Amulet bags and clip on pouches for tiny treasures:
Amulet bag with necklace cord, Click on pouch with lobster claw fitting to clip to keychains, purse, pocket etc.
And, woven flowers, to wear, and applique and and and….

Thank you so much!!!! I have been working sooooo hard on her, refining the process of creating with her to arrive at the best possible ways of working with her, so it is such a joy to have her now out in the world. My hope is that Thumbelina will bring delight to many many people! I love the thought of happiness being woven in the world! ❤

Hi Noreen! Would LOVE it if you could do a video on the thumbelina basic weaving…..it is soooo cute! But just different from any other square or triangle loom I have ever used…..I received my gorgeous little Thumbelina today…..but am having some trouble figuring out the weaving….would Love it if you could do a quick video on the basic weaving……Thank you…

Hi Laura-Lynn- I’m sorry, but I won’t have time to get to a how to video this week. For now, look closely at the instructions… they are broken down into sections.
The set up of the loom when warping is really important, and actually very easy if you look at each little chunk of instructions and go through them, following the photos and text. The initial steps across the top of the loom may be unfamiliar to you, but they are key to getting the smooth finish at the top of the arch. It’s very easy… just follow those instructions as if they were a video or slide show. Yes, it is a totally unique approach, but the photos and instructions are very clear, so I am sure that you will do great with them! I worked incredibly hard to make the instructions clear and straightforward, so I hope that you will be able to work your way through them, one step at a time and enjoy them. The first time you do, it may seem unusual, but soon, you will be zipping merrily along! Happy weaving! 🙂

Hurrah! They are definitely unusual and unique, Laura-Lynn, which is why the Thumbelina loom is so special! I worked sooooooooooo hard on the design, and on figuring out the most elegant and approachable way to achieve success with the weaving and so I hope that it will soon be a delight for you! Right now, I am working on weaving a very tiny tapestry on the Thumbelina, and the learning curve on that has given me a few surprises- LOL! I am working out the ‘ergs’ so that I will be able to share the ‘how to’s’ for it soon, I hope! Fingers crossed! 🙂
