My husband really likes the dragon that I designed for my ‘Innovative Frame Loom Weaving’ book.
He asked me to weave him a dragon tapestry for Christmas, so I did.
I went a bit overboard on the beads, but he likes it, so that’s okay.
He hung it on the beam between the kitchen and the dining room to be the Guardian of the Hearth.
I am so glad that he likes it.
Woven with love in every stitch.
And, yup, I designed and made the frame for it.
So pretty, frame and all. The beads are great, I especially like the fiery ones, and the veins on the vanes – he has cause to be vain, I think!!

Thank you 🙂 The beads are much more muted with the piece being hung on the beam…. I was concerned that they were rather intense 🙂

Dear Noreen, This is a great pattern, and I hope to be able to weave it once I receive your book that I’ve just ordered, along with your other book on potholder weaving ! It will please my son who loves dragons. I also tried to find your book on peg loom weaving in France, but my favourite booksellers say they can’t get it, because it’s now only available on amazon and its subsidiary companies. But I don’t order on the internet (family policy…). They say we have to wait for a second edition to get it from our usual booksellers. I really hope that there will be a second edition coming, will there ? I think I am getting a peg loom weaver addict, thanks to your videos on youtube that are so inspiring. In the meantime, your videos and your much expected other books will no doubt keep me busy. Thanks for your youtube channels, books and blog that are like fresh air in my daily life. What a lovely dragon and frame you have made! I have treated myself to a set of those frame looms, bought the folk pattern(found second hand pattern for $4.00) for the coat of many colors and since we’ve been in lock downs I have taken to much spinning and hoping to use lots of my spun yarn in the making of the coat
